In the cabinet above the TV look on the front edge and there may be a wooden plug that when removed gives you access to a screw that goes down into the top of the TV. Also you may have to remove the wooden plugs on the fireplace and remove the fireplace to get to the bottem screws. That step I have never done but there have been others on the forum here that has replaced the TV. Have some patience they will be along shortly.

I would like to bump this post. I would have thought some one else who has removed the TV in a 3400 would have responded by now.

I had to remove the center speaker above the TV to get the screw out, the one on the bottom was broke so I didn't have to remove the fireplace to get mine out.

In our previous 07/3400 we replaced the TV with a 32 LCD. In our case there was a plastic cap covering the head of a screw located in the center just inside the doors of the entertainment unit. The removal of this screw enabled the center speaker below it to be removed which in turn revealed another screw that fastened/secured the top of the TV. In order to remove the two screws that held our TV from the bottom we had to remove the fireplace. Removed 4 wooden plugs to get at screws that removed the oak frame. Then one had to remove the fireplace glass in order to get at a screw in the upper part of the fireplace box that secured it in place. Hope this helps.

I don't remember. Did the '06 have a storage for VCR tapes on the tv side of the desk? If so, pull that storage drawer out and you will have access to the mechanisms that hold the tv in.

Wayne, I have a late model 06 and it wasn't installed then. When we were at the 06 MOC rally and toured the factory I saw it for the first time I think it was added to the 07's.
