Monaco Coach

Saw a report where the latest bankruptcy filing will be Monaco Coach, makers of Holiday Rambler and others. Anyone else heard this?

Yeppers - I was just reading the article. I didn't know they owned HR.

Maybe I'll throw a wild offer on a Monaco coach this weekend at the show.

I see where they have filed Chapter 11. That gives them a chance to sell off some assets (rob Peter to pay Paul) and debts up to 500 million. They have laid off quite a few employees. Unfortunately it will hit all the vendors so there is a considerable ripple affect.

They shut down the HR service center last August, IIRC. Our friends here had a Presidential that had to have lots of work. They went to the service center for a couple weeks in June, and were scheduled for more work in August. Monaco called and told them not to bother, as they wouldn't be there.

Our friends have a new Monaco and tried to get some warranty work done at a dealer near us. They refused, saying that Monaco hasn't been paying them for the warranty work that they have been doing for the past six months. So SAD.
