Winter storage in Myrtle Beach S.C.

Going to Willow Tree next Mo for 2 weeks, then leaving trailer there in off site storage for winter. Going back in Feb. I live near Pgh Pa. By leaving it there It will save me from towing back over Mts in winter. When I stored it near home previously, I never had any problem with critters or insects. I use dryer sheets and charcoal. What should I look out for storing it in S.C. Willow Tree is 12 mi from ocean, so its out of salt air and wind. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks and God Bless, Ray

We kept our old Jayco Designer stored in the Myrtle Beach area year round for almost 8 years. During that time all I ever did was winterize it each October when we made our last trip down. Never had any problems, although I would suggest you give it a thorough cleaning and heavy wax job before you leave it in storage.

thanks for the info. I'll get the ant powder. I used it in Texas, fire ants were everywhere. God Bless, Ray

Just wondering...what do the charcoal and dryer sheets do? Where do you put them?

Mice had the smell of bounce dryer sheets and an open bag of charcoal helps with moisture(mildew)

Thanks, Ray. Makes sense.

We live in SC and stay at Huntington Beach State Park often. If you haven't been there, you should try it.
