Chevy Classic 3500.........

Took the Kodiak for the last ride. But a funny thing happened. On the way to Ala. to trade the Kodiak for a 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic 3500 Delaine got to talking about just trading her 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 in also. So we got there and I began talkin to the owner of the dealership and Delaine was walking around the parking lot well the next thing I know she is gone on a test drive. When she returned she was driving a 2007 Chevy HHR, I didn't know there was even a such thing. Ok you guessed it we now have a 2007 HHR also. Just traded the 06 Kodiak and the 06 Chevy 1500 in for the 2007 Chevy Classic and the 2007 Chevy HHR. It really saved us some money. We gave up all the rebates and we had $1,000 on points on the GM card. No money exchanged hands and we have two new 07's and they are paid for. What a country.... They trailered the 3500 to TN and we drove the HHR, 30+ mpg.... GBY...

P.S. We will miss the wonderful ride of the Kodiak. The 3500 doesn't ride as good as the 4500. Those air ride seats were awesome. But love the warranty for the Chevy Classic 3500.

Congratulations to Lindy on her new HHR! That is a coincidence though, yesterday Donna traded her old Explorer for an HHR. (A used, low mileage, '06 LT - blue). She has been keen on the HHR since she first saw one. Now she has one of her own. Seems like a nice roomy little utility vehicle with distinctive styling. (HHR = Heritage High Roof, supposedly styled after a '49 Suburban). Since we also have an '07 Silverado Classic, we have the same vehicle stable. I hope that means that we are both right!

Congrats to you both!!! I bought Phyllis an HHR for her birthday last year and she absolutely loves it. She said that the only thing she will miss when she retires is her little HHR. It's Dark Silver/Gray and My 2500HD is Silver Birch. The look good together parked out in front of the Monty.
We are looking at getting a new 3500 classic, my car guy is looking for one as we speak. Hope he finds it soon. I want the same color Silver Birch.
Lindy is going to love the HHR it has a great engine and you don't have to check tranny fluid, because it is a sealed unit. No dipstick. Kind of remiinds me of the old Powerglide tranny, same type of drive.

I had a good look at the new Chev trucks today and I agree the Classic is the way to go. Chev seems to be trying go out-ugly the Nissan trucks and I believe they have.
