How long have you fulltimed in the same Montana?

We will become full timers in 2007. We are currently searching for the "right" 5th wheel for full timing. We really like the Montana 3295. My question is, "How many of you have lived full time in the same Montana for 5 or more years?" We want to buy a 5th wheel that will last, hopefully 8-10 years without having to be replaced. we will be doing some work camping and moving the RV south in the winter and north in the summer.

Thanks for any information you can give us.

Since May 2004, I think if you keep the rig maintained they will last a long time. Kind of like a house, things will have to be replaced, but a little TLC goes a long way. That and avoiding dealerships with all the new models!

We've not hit the 5-year mark but have fulltimed in this 3295RK for 3 years and 4 months. It has had a few problems but by and large has held up well. We've put about 50,000 miles on it.

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!

Been full timing in our Monty since October 2003. The Monty is holding up well and with proper care I see no reason it wouldn't go 10+ years.

We are beginning year 4....no huge problems so far, and it has been very comfortable. We avoid severe weather whenever possible. Two A/Cs are good if you are in hot conditions for a long time. I haven't spent any really cold climate time in it yet, and don't intend to ..

We tow about 6K miles a year; a sort of oval pattern all the way from West to East and back.
