Dimmer

Is there a way to change out the light switch in the bedroom for the 4 LED fixtures in the ceiling for a dimmer OR some way to lower the intensity of those 4 LEDs? They are bright.

I replaced the switch with a dimmer switch I got off Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I also put one on the lights in the living room.

How did the wiring of the 4 lines 2 in 2 out work on the dimmer replacement switch. Any issues?
Thanks

Not at all. It's pretty straight forward. I did just twist them together to test first, then I used crimp connectors when I was sure I had it right.

The neat thing I like about this dimmer is that it is lit all the time making it easy to find in the dark. Just tap it to turn on or off. Tap and hold to dim or brighten.

Done!

Thanks everyone who sent links and made suggestions.

I ended up having to pop the switch out of the mount and attach the dimmer to it. The hole in the wall for the 6 wires was to big to cover with just the dimmer. There is a Youtube video showing this installation. The guy is installing it in a Grand Design so the wire color codes are different but the wire layout to and from the existing switch is identical.[IMG]

SLB...When you get the switch off the wall you will see the wires are already divided for you. The lines are in pairs of 2 (white and white/green). The whites are all crimped together with the greens going to the switch (divided in/out). The pair of greens from the switch goes to the black in. Their corresponding whites go to the white in. The remaining green and white go to the remaining black and white from the dimmer.

Installed the dimmer today. Because the hole was too big for the switch to cover, I added a black light switch cover as a back. Like how it looks. I think we’re definitely going to enjoy it.
