Receiver Hitch for the Montana?

Does anyone know if the 2011 Montana Mountaineer is bolt-in ready for a receiver hitch?

Or would this have to be custom-welded to the frame?

I'd like to add a hitch carrier for an e-bike or a cargo carrier. Something to handle under 500 lbs max.

For anyone that's done this, I'd sure like your recommendation for what receiver hitch to get and if you needed to get it welded on and how much it cost. Thanks.

On our 2012, and I’m pretty sure the 2011 will be similar, the hitch is attached to some heavy sheet metal which is an extension from the actual frame. If you are wanting a hitch that will handle more weight than a couple bicycles, you will need to have the new hitch attached to the frame with something much heavier, possibly welded to the frame out to the new hitch.

There are universal bolt-on hitches available but if it was me for 500 pounds I would have a reputable welder fit a custom one.
