How do I repair this outer Trim

I was just outside inspecting my trim around my Montana and I noticed the trim in the far right hand passenger side had pulled out. Somehow I don’t know how where do I start at the repair of this trim? Do I have to take apart? Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

When i look at the bottom photo, it looks more like an encounter with an immovable object, rather than pulling out. My first thought would be a complete replacement of that trim. I would show your pics to a respected rv body shop to get an answer. John

Looks like a body shop repair to me.

I have a similar separation on my 3791RD, and it is not due to any collision or contact with anything. I have several sidewall cracks below the living room slide and the "J wrap" metal is buckling on that side as well.
I can, with great effort, push it back together, however it will not stay that way. Have you looked for any cracks or buckling in the sidewall and J wrap from that corner forward?

McNeal, sidewall cracks seem more like frame issues that others have been having the last several years. Hinkle, yours is a bit strange. I can't tell from the photo what the problem is. My rear wall on mine pulled loose twice. First time was about 2-3 inches, just barely close enough that it was still pretty well sealed. Dealer tried just putting new screws in the rearwall to the sidewall. That lasted about 2 years and happened again. This time I knew the problem (or so I thought) and took it apart and put screws in again in new holes. 2 more years and pulled out again. This time there was pretty much a hole in the aluminum wall studs that was almost 2 inches across from so many screws pulling out and being replaced.

So last fall the dealer took the wall kind of apart and welded in new studs in the corner (2 or 3 were broken welds). They had studs in that corner that are only about 2 feet long connecting to the horizontal base stud. I think this has been the problem for 4 years until we figured it out.
Good luck.

Loose trim

I had the same problem, the screws that hold it behind the horizontal trim rail was wallered out, I removed the rubber trim on the horizontal trim rail and removed screws, there and underneath the skirt, lower part of frame, near the hitch, slid it back in place, silicone it good, and put the a different place behind horizontal piece and below, where the fender skirt attaches..not a difficult job.Hope this helps

You guys are great. I appreciate all the feedback you gave. I will now attempt to fix it myself by removing the horizontal trim. Make sure I have a back up trim and sealant. Thank you to everyone for responding.

I remove the plastic strip and underneath is the metal trim. When I did this, I noticed the middle trim a short by a inch from in the end. Where can I buy new trim they replace it any ideas?

Almost all of my trim pieces are short. I made them put new ones on when I bought it because they were yellowed as the rig sat on dealers lot for 17 months (in AZ sun). I am pretty sure they had let the new roll of trim sit in the 100+ heat before they installed them. When temps drop back to ONLY 80, I think it shrinks. So make sure you cut the pieces when 'coolish' or so they don't shrink.
