Goodbye my friend... sniff sniff....

It is so sad to part, remember the Spring breaks on South Padre? We remained controlled and focused, especially you, when the girls with their suntanned hands held you to take my pictures with the other spring break girls, you did your job, no whimpering no jamming or complaints. All the sand and wind and sun never deterred you from perfect photos, you were stellar. Oh, remember the girl that flashed the other guy with the camera? You didn't mind sharing the experience. My hero...
So sorry I dropped you from the top of the ladder, you did give a nice bounce on the concrete, I gave it an 8..... I admired the last effort you gave me, your little Iris opened for just a split second when I turned you on, then... nothing... I will miss you.
I do have to say that your replacement, my new shiny Nikon Cool Pix S-6100 is pretty nifty.. easier to use, more features, easier to read screen, thinner, well... as a mater of fact, I was about to retire you anyway... slacker.

I feel your pain, just when you know the person they leave you hanging, and you feel like an orphan,, starting a new frindship can be hard. but sometimes its a better one.
good luck Qzz

Ozz,
Oh, my! Do you really think this Forum is the proper venue to have an 'open casket' burial?! The brutal nature of his "death" is more than obvious and of questionable taste for this group.

You obviously need a few more mods to keep you busy! Later, Dennis.

Ozz, you have way too much time on your hands. You better find an AC unit that need fixing or something (LOL)

Now I regret telling Ozz I am retired. I hope I'm never around him and on a ladder. At least I hope he buries me in a bigger hole. I don't want my toes sticking up out of the dirt.

Now I know why DW keeps wanting me to tell everyone that I'm sitting around, not working at the moment, waiting for my next career. She must be reading your posts.

Actually Ozz, I think you're pulling our legs. We know you are quite capable of putting Humpty Dumpty back together again and in better shape than it was. Some duct tape, some bailing wire and a torch and you'd be all set. You could have snapped that sucker back together with no problem. About to retire it.... bah!

Ozz, you still up in Colorado? Must be the thin air, not sure your brain is getting enough oxygen.

Ozz I reminder safety guy at work would say you need three points of contact when climbing a ladder, practice safe mods now! That old camera was used up anyway?

Well, I bought a big cover for the truck, as the truck is sitting under a sappy tree. I saw the bag the cover came in, looked sturdy, so I tossed a few tools and a drill motor in it so I could document the vent extension and swivel dealie for you ungrateful ingrates. I got all the way to the top (of course) of the latter when snap! the strap broke... thud, bounce. At least my drill motor survived the 13' drop. You guys know me too well, I did take it apart to try and fix it, but all the HVAC parts I brought wouldn't fit in the swiss-watch like enclosure, so... I figured I would bury it.
I think my neighbors may still be talking about my strange behavior. But I don't care

Ozz, take comfort in knowing it's in a better place now. No more bright sunlight glaring into it's little Iris, no more extreme heat from being left alone in the cab of a truck on hot summer days, and no more shivering when being pulled naked from a warm pocket into the freezing winter weather.

My brother in law really got the neighbors going one day when he saw them watching his every move, he went inside the house, got the B&D Dustbuster and proceeded outside to vacuum up the dandelions that were about to go to seed.
