Washer & Dryer
Looking to add a separate washer and dryer to our 3440RL. Has anyone used a brand other than Splendide? I am seeing more references to Equator brand but not finding much in the way of legitimate reviews. Are preference is to go with a separate washer and dryer rather than a combination unit. The 3440RL uses the front wardrobe closet for the WD location, placing the washer on the DS and the dryer on the ODS. We are loosing a few lbs by removing our Pb acid batteries and this will offset the weight of the W&D add keeping our pin weight relatively unchanged. I am looking for feedback regarding use of those other brand separates. Thanks.

We are going to install a washer only and it will be an Electrolux 24" Front Load Washer Model # EFLS210TIW. Not sure if the matching dryer is 120volt.

Sorry, can't help regarding the other brands. We have a combo Splendid and love it. I guess it depends on how you will be using it. With a combo you can't do a very big load so I do our sheets and bedding at RV park laundromats. I chose the combo because it leaves us a bit of storage space above it. I didn't want to lose so much of my closet space. The combo unit is big enough for a few t-shirts, some undies and socks. It's best not to over load it because things come out wrinkly.
Good luck!

We bought the Electrolux washer and a GE dryer. The matching Electrolux dryer is not 110v. Like both so far. We chose the Electrolux washer because it has a spin speed of 1400 rpm’s vs 1200. The higher spin rate removes more water and takes less time to dry in the 110v dryer.

we have had the splendide combo since 2006. It is far from the S&B washer dryer but we have learned to use it and it serves us well. It takes a long time to wash and dry but who cares we have plenty of time. We are long timers so the W/D gets plenty of use. We have had exactly two problems with it since 2006.

Thanks Goose that is good input. Is the Electrolux washer the one with the electronic touch controls on the from panel? If you wouldn't mind providing the model numbers I would appreciate it.

Side By Side Splendid, Ariston Models
Our 3811ms has the side by side Splendid brand, Ariston model. We use it for two to four loads of laundry a week. We've been full timing since October 2017. Love full timing. We both will be eligible for retirement in 4 years from teaching. We just started the full time thing a bit early; why not!
I have a question for you all...
Does your washer shake the entire 5'er when it spins? When our washer spins it rattles the window shades and Island light fixture in the living area. Maybe we should use a lower spin setting? However, the settings we use (but they are not the highest settings) do a great job cleaning and drying our clothes. Any replies and/or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance for your suggestions or replies. Happy Trails to Everyone!

PNW Fireguy - the model we bought was a EFLS210TIW. It was a recommended compact washer from consumer reports. It is a few pounds heavier than the Splendide. The washer and dryer are a tight fit to get through the bedroom door and closet door in a 2017 3791RD. I had to remove the doors and the quarter round trim to get them through the openings.
Best of luck with what you select!

We've had three Splendides, two combos and one set of separate machines. All have worked flawlessly. The separate machines dry faster.

We have had washers and dryers in 3 rigs, in one the set up was in the bedroom (front) it shook pretty good, the other 2 were midships over the tandems, with 6 point LS, you don't notice it. the Splendide are our first choice, made them take the Maytag junk out of ours before picking up

Combo ventless 2 rigs back ~~ wifey said one and done. Now have Ariston separates. They are 24" and work well. They are not stacked, one on each side of unit. Mobile tech suggested them stating almost anyone can repair them even under warranty and parts are available. He said stay away from Maytag as all repair parts remain in China. Not much shake during spin or dryer tumble.

We just purchased our 2018 Monty High Country 345rl and had the Spendide separate washer and dryer installed. We haven't tried it out yet.

Thanks everyone for the input. For my coach the separates will be installed in the front wardrobe closet on either side of the main opening. Is there any need for the 90 degree elbow kit for the dryer? I can't see a need for much else other than the flexible metal ducting kit, the drain pan for the washer and the hold downs for both units.

Washer / Dryer in Camper....Lots of info.
I purchased the 24" Splendide Ariston stack-able for my 3811ms. The 3811 has the washer/dryer set up side by side in the the master suite slide. It is right next to the bed in the "walk in closet."
I work in the oilfeild 7 days a week, and live alone "most of the time." I wear Fire Resistant clothing that I was myself if they are not too dirty. (drilling mud, diesel fuel, oil, etc) and a big thing...I HATE DIRTY LAUNDRY!!!!
This washer & dryer is AWESOME!!! I have the ARWXF129W washer and TVM63X dryer and they work great. This is the first non-LG washer dryer I have purchased in 10 years! One load will wash and dry: 3 pair of 32w x 32L mens jeans, -or- 4 full size house towels 30"x50" and dish rags, -or- a 600 thread count fitted and flat sheet. Pillow cases, shirts, socks, undies can make a good sized load. They get your clothes SUPER CLEAN. I use Tide detergent, bleach, and Downy Fabric Softener. These are High Effency units and only use a TINY AMOUNT of detergent. A little bit goes a LONG LONG way! The dryer is awesome, put the wet clothes in, turn it to auto and let it do its thing.
Since the washer is in the slide, they will rock and roll the camper on the spin cycle. I have the Lippert Level Up 6pt hydraulic system and I am parked on asphalt. But still, it makes my glasses clink and the light fixture over the island shake a bit. It does make a great alarm clock!! Set the time delay to come on at 4:30am and it will shake you out of bed at 5am just in time for work!!!
PS: DO NOT BUY THE SPLENDIDE WASHING POWDER!!!! If you are used to using Tide or anything else this stuff is TOTAL JUNK!!! It made me break out and messed my skin up. I could not give it away!

Finally tried the washer and dryer in our High Country 345rl. Does a great job cleaning clothes.
It does shake the rig a bit while in spin cycle.
