Can't wait to see him all painted up. I think that is my favorite one yet! When I graduate, I want to "commission" a bird from you. Will you be busy come December? OOhh, better wait till I get a job. Maybe January!
Keep up the excellent work. Love seeing your talent,

WV State Bird is the cardinal (have plenty around the stick-house), that looks great, is it going to be male or female (I saw where you said his colors)?? For the uninformed, the colors are different, I believe red is female and brown with red highlights is male (although I may have them backwards). Tom41, excellent work and furthermore if you expand your posts maybe you can teach us a little more about the birds you are crafting. I know I am always interested in learning more. Food for thought.

hey thank you Tara for the nice compliment. Sure, I'll do you songbird or waterfowl of your choice. And I'm "only" as busy as I wantta be : )
Bingo, thank you very much , and the male is the red one, usually brighter red on the underbelly, head and beak, then grayish red on the back and tail, some males can be mostly a light gray mixed with a dull red. Female more of a golden and light tan color, with a more orange/reddish beak.
