Problem Solved, "DID YOU TURN THE FAN ON"
Have solved the problem of activating the bathroom fan from a sitting position.
I replaced the push button switch with a pull chain switch, with a 30" extension chain installed.
You can get the switch at your local hardware store along with the chain and connector, total cost about $4.00
I screwed a small eyelet into the shelve, right of center as I am right handed.
No more, TURN THE FAN ON

Leave it to you Sven to find an easy solution. I wired a switch and put it on the wall beside the toilet.

Thanks for a great idea. I ran down to the hardware store and got a switch. Had to fabricate a piece of metal to mount it on the screen buit it works great!!!
Saved a hell of a lot of time trying to run wires in the wall for a switch.
***************THANKS AGAIN**************

abonzer when mine goes out I will change it to a Fantastic fan with the thermostat control. They move much more air and are pretty quiet. If you do not want to go that way, about any RV parts dealer will be able to help. The fans are pretty standard.

Hey Trukdoc remember if you put in a fantastic fan in the toilet room and it's running at full force and you open the flush valve it will suck a lot of odoriferous air out of the black tank.
Dick
Carlson, great fix. Like others I spent a few hours installing a fan and light switch just inside the door. What a job getting it down inside the wall.

Dick,
I am guilty of the power fan reverse with the fantastic fan. It only takes one or two times of that odor to remind you to turn the fan off before the flush. I would like to have one of those fan switches wired down next to the comode. It would be nice when I realize I forgot to turn on the fan after sitting down.

ABONZOR,
A while back there was a post about using a computer fan, quiter, moves more air and inexpensive.
I think it was like a 4" fan and all it neaded was a little modification
Hope this helps

If I have my brain on the fan was a 12VDC, 120mm computer fan and it moved a little less air than the existing fan but it is a lot quieter.
