Okay, since this is a poll for FT or not, I'll be on the side of not. The Monty sits next to the stickhouse driveway with enough room around it to set it up like we can live in it. Then there's the occassional times that we do take it out and enjoy it by ourselves or along with others.
I think I could have the mentality to be a full timer and make some necessary adjustments, but with many other family, friends, or living styles or commitments we prefer not to overcome, we aren't able to pull that trigger. Others will do just fine with it! There are sacrifices to be made with both life styles along with rewards. I hope either style decision is made with the least amount of surprises to make things easier.
It's nice to know I do have ownership of a nice FT capable rig but I have run into many others who have lesser and are quite comfortable with theirs in light of their circumstances. It's about how positive we can make any negative situation in YOUR regard and it helps if your companion makes the same adjustments. Keeping a positive mental state at all times will help. I have also met plenty of very grumpy stickhouse owners you'd wish would be FTers so they can be away somewhere else. To each their own.
It's been fun reading so many success stories for full timers. One wonders if you'll ever hear of the FT dissenter for those that are out there wishing they weren't. Maybe they don't have Montanas and that's why... I don't know.

Hard to believe we've been full-timers for 2.5 years. No lookin' back, no regrets. We are still very pleased with our Monty!

A year and a month fulltime in a 2007 Montana we bought used. More fun in that year than the 68 before.

RV life is a good life. Kind a like living in a condo, but you don't have to pack a bunch of stuff to move

It has only been 4.5 months since the house sold and we went full time. It was an easy adjustment and there have been no negatives. We hope to continue for several years while touring the country.

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary a couple of weeks ago. We love it and have NO REGRETS. We believe this was one of the best decisions we have ever made.

Sold my place and 10 acres back in December and bought this fifth wheel at the same time. I have been living in it full time since then and plan on living in it until I retire in about 3 1/2 years, then I want to travel the United States!

Just retired and started full timing on the 1st of October. It was a long 2 year plan that turned to a 5 year plan. Now we are adjusting to the life.

I know there are others who have been fulltiming longer than we have but we're, as of today, at 10 years, 7 months, 12 days and counting...
And all of it in Montanas.

One year wedding anniversary on 11/09/2013, one year FT anniversary on 11/16/2013. We are loving it, even with the occasional glitch with the trailer. We plan on fulltiming until we just pull up to the rest home and turn over the keys.

We posted on this thread last year as the adventure was about to begin. Since that time we have been in 15 states and 1 province of Canada. Both Bonnie and I are very much in love with our new full time lifestyle. All of the uncertainties of full timing have been laid aside. When we talk about home it's our Big Sky, not where the stick house used to be. We have visited friends and family for extended periods without intruding in their homes. And best of all, we no longer have to contend with the uncertainties of winter in the north.

Coming up on three years. It's hard to argue with no more winter weather. If I get a bug to go skiing, I can go do it...don't have to live in the cold all winter long. John
