The wife and I just upgraded from a 30' KZ Connect. I still work fulltime as an engineering manager, but since COVID, I'm now allowed to work remote. We live in Gilbert, AZ and mostly enjoy going to forest service campgrounds in northern AZ for 10-14 days a months during May-October. We go without utilities as long as temps are under 80, then we move to our favorite spot that has only electric. I've been using a high-gain directional LTE antenna (I'm a geek) which worked really well for Internet, but this year I'm switching to Starlink--just got antenna mast HW mounted to my trailer to get the Starlink antenna up in the air to minimize tree interference.

Welcome MOC.
This is the type of camping I enjoy. No hookups no neighbors sounds good to me.

Sounds good!
I'd love to know how Starlink works mounted on the roof. Does that mean you won't camp under trees?

Starlink tracks LEO satellites that are moving, so the antenna requires an unobstructed, 100 degree view of the sky. I usually camp in Northern AZ, which is mostly pines, so there aren't too many branches hanging over the camp sites. I then will mount a 30ft antenna mast to the front, passenger (starboard for you nautical types) side of my trailer to get it up and away from the trees even more. Of course it's all academic until I try it out this May.

Hey Mike, Starlink has a great consumer business model. My buddy has a super C, and uses it via a pole mounted antenna attached to the front passenger side of his rig. My company is involved with OneWeb, another Leo concern, but not as far along as Starlink. I'm looking forward to seeing how their coverage compares to Starlink's. Welcome to MOC.
