Fantastic Fan
My bathroom fantastic fan will close per the controls but will not open. I can crank it open and then close but it will not open on command. Short of replacing the until, what can I look at. Thanks.

Michael,
There is a circuit board in the fan that is replaceable.

The one in the living room ceiling is identical.
You can swap parts between them to figure out the bad part.
Controler, then circuit board.
Lift operator is probably good since it closes.

We have the same issue with our fan. Every so often I spray the assembly with graphite and it open by itself and moves more smoothly.

had them in my prior motorhome, found out sometimes they would stick closed and i had to just push them a little to get them going. they then would work fine for a while and if not used would stick again.

The simple function micro switch that applies voltage to the motor when the lid raises, becomes sensitive to functioning. Either replace it or try spraying lubrication on it.

I have also found with ours that the seal sticks to the lid quite easily and will sometimes prevent the lid from opening. I use some rubber protectant like I use on the slide seals about 3-4 times a year (when I think about it).

Up on the roof 3-4 times a year? You get a gold star! 1-2 times for me.
I have experienced the lid sticking to the rubber seal also and have treated the seal with 303.

Twice a year just to clean and service air conditioners. I really try to keep an eye out for any leaks, so I'm up there just about every time we go out.
