2009 Montana 3665RE
We just bought this model and need some questions answered.
How do we get the couch to open so that I can inflate the air bed? I can see the air bed under the couch, behind the drawer, but I am stumped. It doesn't open like a jack-knife bed, cushions can't be removed so it doesn't fold open like a hide-a-bed.
The manual only tell you how to inflate the mattress.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dawn

Grab the back of the couch and pull it forward. It will hinge out. The back cushions will be in front of the sofa when it is open. The air mattress lays on top of the frame. It has been suggested that you remove the mattress when not in use and store it behind the couch. This prevents the mattress from getting pinched when you fold the bed back up.
We love our Monty and know you will also. I've made several modifications I'd be happy to share with you. If you have any more questions, PM or e-mail me and I'll help in any way I can.

AHHH! So that is how it is done. Thank you. Now for the next question.
What do you do about the gap between the back of the couch and the wall when it is unfolded? Stuff it will pillows or makeshift a shelf to add support?
Thanks,
Dawn

I don't sleep there so I haven't given it much thought. It is a pretty good gap, though.

You will not have to do anything with the gap. If your air mattress does not leak then the mattress takes care of it. I was surprised about this too. It was actually pretty comfortable.
