No hot water
Have 2007 3475RL, no hot water when using electric, have hot water when using just gas. Suburban SW10DE. Water heater and water lines had been drained and than reconnected after being gone for 1 week. Everything worked before draining lines and heater. Heater had water before turning electric switch back on. Thanks for all help.

Try flipping the switch in the heater off and on a few times and check the breaker in the panel. Also try pushing the reset on the water heater under the rubber cover.
Hope one of these work.

Bob love be sure you have 120v to the element its in the bottom left side of the heater. If so you will have to ck the element it only takes about 5 mins to burn up with no water in the heater. no need to ask I know this. if you have power and the element is good the t-stat is keeping it from coming on. I wouldnt think it is the t-stat. just some things to ck first.

I've replaced all three of the weak points in the water heating system. Some more than once.
Assuming that you've already checked that 110v is getting to the water heater and tried resetting it using the two rubber covered buttons:
The rocker switch is the weakest link. I recommend putting a 'real' switch inside the trailer and removing the outside switch.
Take the heater element out. A visual inspection is the best way to diagnose it. I've seen them read as electically OK even when the tube is falling apart. Just about any hardware store has them for around $15. They may even have the thin wall socket you need to remove & reinstall the element. I've smoked so many elements that I always carry a spare.
Least likely are the two thermocouples that control the water temp. But they do wear out. You'll find them under the reset switches. If I remember right they are only sold as a set and cost about $30.
Good luck with it!

I assume you checked the breaker on the breaker panel?
Was the electric element turned on before the tank was filled with water? It takes only a few seconds for it to burn out when not immersed in water. I have not had to replace one but I understand it's around $10 or $15 for the part and an easy changeout. Again, I have not done that.
Good luck.
