Awning Rail Separation?

Washed and waxed/polished the RV this weekend and noticed that the rail that holds our awning to the RV seems to have pulled away slightly from the body of the RV (pics attached). I had the DW actuate the awning as I watched for any movement and there was none during operation. This leads me to believe that perhaps during our last outing we caught a rogue wind gust which pulled the rail away from the RV. To muddy the water a little bit, while viewing this I also noticed that almost directly above this rail detachment, there appears to be an issue with the roof substructure. From what I understand there is a 4"-6" aluminum/metal strip that Keystone runs down the roof line edge to mate the vertical wall to the roof. My issue lies just inside this aluminum strip. I don't know if the two issues are connected but I find it suspect that they are within a very small proximity of one another. While I think I'll just keep an eye on the roof issue for now and see if it develops any further, I am seeking advice on the awning issue. Has anyone had a similar issue and how did you resolve? I suppose I could remove the awning and re-secure the rail and caulk, but before I got started I thought I would reach out to see if someone had the same issue and how you resolved.
Much thanks and stay safe.

It has to do with the orientation of the phone when taking the pic. Refer to Post #6 in this Thread. https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...64#post1183764

I did notice something I was unaware of when looking at this post. If you click on the pic it opens in a new tab. Then click on it in the new tab and it gets rotated to where it should have been. This is the first time I have tried this (it was an accident) but I am going to try it on other posts with rotated pic.

Not sure what to tell you about the roof, but we have had the awning attachment pull out. We tie our awnings down and spend most of our time in KS and NM so wind is a constant issue. Ours was held on with a few screws that were working their way out. We tightened the original screws and then put in two more for each original screw.

Best way to permanently repair the awning rear attach rail pulling loose from the side it to order these and remove all those cheap screws and replace with these tri lock rivets
