CTD Filters

Wish someone would do this for me for my new Ford F350 PSD!!!!

I got this list from my local Dodge dealer for the 02 CTD I owned. These are filters at the time were OK to use according to Dodge:

5016547AC = Mopar
LF3894 = Fleetguard Sttratopore
LF3552 = Fleetguard Fleetguard Microglas(upgrade of LF3340)
LF3952 = Fleetgurd Cellulose
3937695 = Cummins Cellulose
FL896 = Motorcraft Cellulose
LF5335 = Purolator Cellulose
PF1070 = AC Delco Cellulose

MOPAR fuel filter = 05015581AA = Fleetguard FS19579

Me too, Illapah. Unfortunately for us, Ford says we HAVE to use the Motorcraft filters to maintain our 100k mile warranty because they claim nobody else yet makes a filter that filters particles as fine as theirs. True or not? I have no clue but I do not want to chance the warranty. Ford is getting rich off us buying filters from them. You can buy the same oil filters from International for about half the price. I also have seen a couple of Walmarts (but only a couple) who sell the Motorcraft FL 2016 oil filters for around 17 bucks. I look to Walmart first, then International.

The International fuel filters are different and won't work in the PSD. I've not found anyone but Ford to buy the Motorcraft fuel filters from. However, in a small town in South Dakota I got a parts guy to give me a significant discount if I purchased 3 at once. So I did.

Check Ebay, I just found at least 3 of the FL2016 that are reasonable.

No kidding! I would not thought to check Ebay. I still have 3 oil filters in the toolbox, purchased from a Walmart. I saw another post that perhaps Walmart no longer carries the Motorcraft filters, though. I will check ebay for fuel filters next time I need some. Thanks, Skip.

For the Dodge 2500 5.9l turbo diesel H.O. I use Fram products. I get the Fram Oil filters(PH3976A) at Canadian tire for $9.99 Can. and I get the Fram fuel filters(C58941) at Murrays in the Detroit area for $12.99 U.S. The Dodge Dealer in Can. wants $54.00 Can. what a rip, so I have a friend who lives in the Detroit area but works with me in Canada bring me some. I bought 4 for the same price a 1 here. I change the fuel filter about every 8- 9 months and the oil filter with the oil changes every 12,000 km. The air filter is like the K&N filter but is called Green Products and I clean it every 6 months.
