2015 floor plans

When do the new year's floor plans typically start showing up on the Keystone web site?

I was told the 3910 was a 2015 floor plan.

Historically, The Keystone/Montana web site lags significantly behind reality.

I noticed all Mountaineers are stock only, this usually indicates a drop of that line, or at least a total rebadging under a new name.

I understand that the Mountaineer is gone. New line-up is Montana, Montana Legacy, Montana High Country and Big Sky.

We were told that all the "Montana's we saw at the plant were production models and there were no prototypes on display.

Did someone say new models? You betcha!! Here are links to PDFs of the latest and greatest 2015 Montana and High Country floor plans. The advantage of the supplied PDFs is you can blow the pictures up as much as you want to examine the details.

Montana Floor Plans
https://www.dropbox.com/s/l0ngbqju3p...14%29.pdf?dl=0

High Country Floor Plans
https://www.dropbox.com/s/wxhy9wcrsj...14%29.pdf?dl=0

The Montana Legacy Edition appears to be any of the Montana floor plans with the following optional package:
  • Underfloor Heated Upper Deck Bedroom & Bathroom Floor
  • MCD Brand Day / Night Dual Roller Shades
  • Premium Ultra Gloss 'Noble Classic' Fiberglass Exterior
  • Metallic Nickel Painted Fiberglass Rear Cap
  • Quiet Cool Residential Dometic Premium Air Conditioning System
  • Exclusive Mor/Ryde LRE 4100 Wheel Suspension
  • Solid Hardwood Residential Cherry Cabinet Framing Throughout

One has to assume the optional residential refrigerator in the Montana (someone here was asking for this feature?) will also include an inverter?

The 19' awning on the 6 slide 3710/3711 is effectively useless for outside seating.

The "Quiet Cool" AC has been standard on the Montana for a few years. Does its inclusion on the "Legacy Edition" option imply the standard AC is back to a dump valve model?

We have friends who just love the Mountaineer 331RLT floor plan introduced earlier this year. Apparently it didn't make the cut. That guarantees one less sale for Keystone.

So what do YOU think??[/img]

Well, that answers the question about the awning on the new 3710FL front living plan. A 19' awning from the forward door over the front curb side slide to near the front of the trailer.
Looks like the fridge MAY be accessible from the rear door with the slides in due to the rounded corner on the bath. But not clear.
I just do not see that as any improvement over the 3750FL or 3850FL other than the larger shower.

It's kinda looking like my march thru life owning a Montana is headed for "parade rest". Way too many mega trailers far too few smaller to mid sized choices. Not everyone wants a 40 footer ya know.

Didn't Keystone tell us that all of the best features of the Mountaineer were going to be incorporated into the High Country?

The 3160 is supposed to come in at 35' 4". We are optimistic.

It looks like the Montana now has a flat rear cap. Perhaps the Legacy upgrade option comes with the molded rear cap.
Take a look at the 2015 3611 model at Walnut Ridge RV and you will see what I mean. Looks like the Mountaineer. Joe

Not liking it....glad we pulled the trigger back in April on our 3610RL. Did notice the residential fridge which sounds like everyone in the industry is going that route. I am presuming the new rigs will be fitted with a good size inverter and batteries?

Keystone did some marketing changes. There is no longer a Mountaineer. There is now a Montana Residential (flat back, Mor Ryde 3100 suspension, not solid hardwood cabinets, etc.). The Montana Legacy Package has the molded rear cap, solid hardwood cabinets, Mor Ryde 4100 suspension, and heated floors in the bathroom and bedroom. The residential fridge is available in select models. The changes were to get first time buyers looking for a quality, less expensive entry model that they have been losing. All units will have wireless backup camera. We will see if the strategy works. There has been some shake out with the changes.

Ron (or anyone else!) do you remember what brand of back up camera they said they were using? I heard it but forgot.

Is it just me or do all the plans seem to be going in the wrong direction? I don't see one new plan that I like. If I were in the market today I think I'd pass, at least on Montana. I'm so glad we bought ours when we did!

But do I feel this way just because I like mine so much? Maybe it's just because I'm a new owner and I'll like what they bring out in a few years?
