Does anyone have a U.S. Cellular Data Card? I have my cell service with them and just ordered the data card today for my laptop. I get 30 days to try it out but would like ot know if someone else has tried their service.

We have the same service and would be interested in how the card works and what kind of coverage you might receive. Any information would be interested in hearing about their Data Card as well.

I have the data card in my posession and it is working great so far. I am on the edge of the metro so it should work fine right now. I am headed up to the boonies tonight so I will let you know how it works out there. The area I am headed to is a telephone coop which has not updated much of their cell service towers. At the farm it is kind of a hole where no phones work very well. We will see what happens.

I just cheeked the US Cellular web site, can not find anything about the data card. Also interested in its workings, and cost.

Would appreciate information on cost, etc. also. We have U.S. Cellular and have been waiting for them to come out with a way for us to use the service for the internet.

Karen, Verizon now makes their aircard/expresscard available to everyone at the same monthly service price as for Verizon phone customers. $59.99. We've been using ours since April and are very pleased. I'm also interested in hearing how the US Cellular does. I hear the Sprint is also good. Karen, I'm not dissing US Cellular. I know nothing about their datacard. I just wanted to note there are other options if US Cellular doesn't work out for you.

Ok I am on day 5 folks and I am extremely happy. Is the service as fast as DSL...No. I expected that before I receieved the card. I can get online and open 5 windows at the same time with pretty fast download speeds.
The Low Down on the cost.
Kyocera KCP650 Data Card.
Card Cost--$49.95
Monthly Service $56.00
The data card works anywhere the company has easy edge access which is almost everywhere. There are only 3 spots in Oklahoma where it will not work and they told me about them before I ordered the card. If you call the U.S. Cellular store in your local town tell them you need to call to get the data card. In Oklahoma City I had to call the corporate account office. They had the card overnighted to me. The support from the company on activation and questions has been outstanding.
Here is a phone number I called to activate my card. There is a phone menu so you can get in contact with someone who can get you a card. The number is 1-800-819-9373
