The 312X has a listed dry pin weight of 2350. Diesel engines will pull it just fine. The question is do you mind towing when you are over the carrying capacity of your truck?
A 3/4T has about 2650 carrying capacity and a 1T SRW has about 3250.
A 312X will put you over a 3/4T diesel
It will run you close to rated capacity on a 1T SRW.
We added about 800 lbs to the Pin weight with passengers, hitch, and what we take with us. That was pre W/D

I bought one and too delivery on Oct. 31 2018 yes halloween the 20th anniversary and i love the layout and most of the trailer i just have a few issues that I would change only because the trailer I sold to get the 3120RL was a Montana HC 305RL and the 3120RL is better for fulltime living and on the HC had cable slides and had a lot of problems with them.
Ok the 3120RL changes I would make, the new theater setting is not as comfortable as my HC was and I would rather have the old fashion manual recliners. In the bedroom the barn door takes up walking room around the bed I like the regular door for more room and in the bed room if I was Keystone I world put a window on each side of the dresser so they could put a taller dresser and a cabinet for a TV receiver and DVD player. In the closet I added a support in the middle of the rod down to the floor because the center support is very weak where it attaches.
Other than that we like the floor plan.
Ok nothing to do with the trailer but if you buy one make the dealer run a 2 to 3 day PDI on everything, tell you way my dealer didn't not but said they did and when I wanted to take off on a trip the refrigerator didn't work at all but everything looked like it was working LP and AC so 3 weeks later I got it back with a complete new refrigerator and the new one works great.
I ordered mine with inverter and solar and I added lithium batteries so I had a bigger converter added at factory and had to make a few changers to the solar charger but not a big deal.

We purchased a 2018 3121 RL and absolutely love it. It really comes down to preference in floor plans. We don’t full time, but purchased this in preparation for retirement in a few years. I lve pretty much everything about it. I do agree I’m not a big fan of the theatre seating, but you could always modify that. I haven’t but it may be in the future with a end table between us. The other thing I like is the window placement and the ability to pretty much see everything around the fiver from inside.
I pull it with a 2018 Ford F350 Diesel. Pulls like a charm. I replaced my Pullrite Superglide hitch with a B&W. Love my new hitch. (Anyone looking for a Pullrite Superglide with both a Montana & Cougar catchplate I will sell it cheap if you are in the Mid Missouri area. Paid around $1,200 and selling for $650 or offer. Moving soon! )

We love our 3121! Looked for close to 2 years and no question we bought the right camper for us. Ordered ours in March (2018) and picked it up in June. We are not full timers but between staying at the local campground on the lake, a 10 day trip to Gatlinburg and N. Georgia, and then a 6 week trip into Florida, we were in it close to 150 days last year. We are pulling with a 2017 F350 SCLB dually.

We bought our 2018 3120rl last May. We live in So Ca, and last July we took a trip up the west coast to Vancouver BC, over 4,500 miles round trip, in 40 days. We love our unit! It is not our first, but size, weight, build quality, and layout are exceptional! We were advised to select the 3120 refrigerator and do not regret it. We tow it with our 2018 F350 srw 4x4 sb psd. No issues towing or load weights. We did not need any other suspension modifications, such as over loads, air bags, etc. It is level and tows wonderfully.

We just purchased a 3120rl 20th anniversary edition. When we were full-timing we had a 2006 3670RL. Did not need to pull that much anymore and the 3120rl is just what we need. From my understanding the only difference in the 3121 and 3120 is the refrigerator. We have only made 2 trips in ours mostly to check for warranty issues and we have had a few. Furnace, blinds (one too short). But overall love this rig. We pull with ford F350 dually

Love Cadent59's truck and color. Goes well with your Montana. Walk through all the models that you think would fit your needs and once narrowed down, go through that model again. You'll begin to note the details that you missed the first few times that may solidify your choice. Every floor plan has some uniqueness and usually ends up prioritizing what's most important. We opted for the best storage, kitchen and living area in the rear to suit our lot. We bought a lot in SW Florida that has an HOA, but permits a small shed. Our shed has both a half bath and laundrys, so there's no need to duplicate having an extra bathroom or have a W/D onboard.

If you fulltime, you have to have a unit that can handle the amount and weight of what you "need" to have with you. Be serious with yourselves about how much you are willing to part with in the way of clothes, kitchen stuff, and any hobby stuff you will be needing to carry. Storage space to handle all this is key. Don't be distracted by the "bling" ...look at functionality or substance over flash. Hydraulic 6 point leveling worth every penny. Two ac's a must. A layout that you both can really deal with fulltime. Real tires, not cheap Chinese load range e tires. A disk brake upgrade worth double what you will pay. An adjustible water pressure regulator should be on your list as I have found more than a few parks with 80-85 psi pressure. Good water filtration, as there are lots of this country that has crap for water. Keep a level head and eyes wide open! Sign nothing until you are sure that the unit has been truly reviewed and debugged of assembly issues by the dealer. The dealer is your last line of defense against the crap that can arrive in these units.

We are not full time but volunteer(workamper) at southern State and Federal parks during the winter for 4 months and camp in the summer/fall to end up spending about 6 months in our 3750FL. We had a SOB 35ft previously, but the extra space is great, and the front living room allows us to entertain other workampers. We love this unit because it allows us "on the road" access to kitchen/stove/MCW/bathroom and with a bit of a bump of the bedroom slide we can crawl in for a nap or the night.
We added additional shelving in the closet, kitchen, and bathroom as well as a washer/dryer unit and an exterior generator allows us to stop when and where at will. Some of our most beautiful free spots have been rest stops or Walmart parking lots!
We have not experienced any trouble fitting into State/Federal/County/or Canadian parks. We pull our "Beauty"with a Ford F250 Diesel supercab/short box, and as it is a 2006, plan to upgrade to a F350 Diesel. Wife says it has to have seat heaters!
We do not pull a tow vehicle, if we had additional baggage to tow it would be the kayak!
We planned for 6yrs prior to retirement, have had two previously owned SOBs and my wife shopped for this one for over 2 years. Its a keeper...especially after she redecorated it....now she has requests!
Enjoy the time ahead!!!

We’ve had our 3120Rl for almost a year now. Our only issues are these:
1) DW and I are both a little “fluffy” and we don’t fit as comfortably at the table as we’d like.
2) As someone else mentioned, the clothes pole in the closet droops terribly, and our clothes bounce right off of it during travels. It’ll soon be replaced with a decent diameter wooden rod.
3) We’re not fans of the theatre seating either and will be on the hunt for options. A 60” wide space is the limiting factor.
I completely agree with everyone that a thorough walkthrough is a must! What I missed (my bad) is the TV cable stuff. Am having to run coax through the window from our Dish portable sat dish!

Well ours must have been made on a Monday. We have had other RVs before and the 2018 3120RL was an upgrade, we thought, from our previous one. We checked all the switches, lights, etc. that we could check and we thought we were quite thorough. The one thing that we did not check, and who would think to, was the floor. I believe the floor is made with joists that run longitudinaly with a 1/2 plywood full sheet that is seamless. The joists are not really that far apart but our floor dips in between the joists. In some spots it will dip 1/4" or more. You can feel it with your feet. It went back to the dealer and they reduced some of the sag, but declared that a wavy floor is within factor tolerances and we got it back. Keystone confirmed that a wavy floor is okay.
We had other issues, like loose wires that until you find the connection can cause you to really scratch your head. I also think the wood work is not real quality. There are lots and lots of nails holding up very light pieces of trim. The wood paneling in the forward part of our closet came down on the trip home from the dealer. We are several hours away so I fixed it myself.
So, we would not buy another one or if we did it would be used from someone who had already fixed all the things and taken good care of the unit.

We have a 2019 3120RL with the Legacy package that we tow with a 2011 GMC Sierra 2500HD diesel. Recommend you check what the towing capacity is for your 2017 Silverado 1500, because our vehicle doesn't have a lot of towing capacity to spare.
