I've been on the road for business and just got back to the 5er this weekend. Here's what I discovered after taking everything apart from underneath.
Yes, I was able to use the Phillips screwdriver to loosen up the long brass bolts that went into the base of the unit by the yoke. Once I got those loose then I could just use my adjustable wrench to loosen up the stainless steel lines which actually have long stems with O-rings on them and plug into the water lines for the sink faucet.
You may be able to see a little red and blue dot that's on the front of the handle part. It comes out and there is an allen set screw behind that that attaches to a nylon lever on a cartridge. That cartridge is what is cracked and causing the whole faucet to leak. Now I need to find that cartridge but none of the big boxes have it and I have a call into one of the large RV dealerships here in the area. Those usually run anywhere from 13 to $28 vs 75 to $100 for a new faucet, which I would still end up having to pay shipping on to get here. I'm pretty Scotch when it comes to stuff like this so I'll try to go with a new cartridge. Now we know.
