If you have a two valve system turn on the HOT first, then add cold.

This is not really the issue. The single handle shower valve turns from the 6 oclock position counterclockwise to the 3 oclock position to operate. At the full open position you should be receiving the most hot water. As you rotate clockwise back to 6 oclock it would get colder. The valve handle position simply mixes the amount of hot and cold water.
On the newer RV OE shower valves, the valve handle stops at a position so that it does not maximize the hot water. It may be a feature to prevent scolding but you simply don't get hot water in the full open position after a matter of a few minutes.
I can verify this by stepping out of a luke warm shower and turning on the hot water at the sink where it remains very hot.

Have the same problem. Dealership changed unit, still the same. Mechanic informed me that the unit has little to no adjustment to the balancer. Either change to a 2 handle system or live with it.
Liked the thought of swapping the hot/cold lines around. One thing we do not do: if someone is taking a shower, no other water is turned on to prevent being scolded.

Sometimes when the DW is in the shower, it's fun to turn the hot water in the kitchen on. It's the only time I get to see naked dancing woman

A true statement for sure...but no matter how old we are...we all have momentary lapses of reason!

Amy, you might have to see if there is access to the back of the tub/shower area to be able to make this changeover. IF NOT, you might have to make that access yourself by cutting into the wall or cabinet that is on the other side of the faucet. Also you may not get an answer to your question because that thread is originally composed in 2020 and brought back to life January of this year. You might want to start a new thread or post of your own asking for help on your problem. Good luck and hope you get your problem solved.
