make sure the 30amp in line fuse is good, if it is then you need to start tracing the power with a test light or a meter.

Once last year mine would not raise or lower. But it was because I forgot to loosen the T handles on my JT Strongarm stabilizers and it kept blowing the 30 amp fuse.
But since your fuse is good I guess that is not the problem.
Can you hear any noise at all as if it is trying to do something?

Don, I had that happen. The internal switch contacts melted. As I recall, it was a 20 amp switch in a 40 amp system. Bill

Don,

Sounds like something internal with the motor, let us know the outcome.

I hooked the switch to a different power source it will retract but it blows the fuse on extend so there is a short in the motor.

Don, since you have a 2008 Montana, don't you have the wireless remote control keyfob. I suspect you have lost one of the relays in on the remote controller board. They wire the remote in parallel with the switch, so if the ground relay is burnt shorted supplying ground all the time, the motor would run one way, but not the other.
You might get the Tech to disconnect the remote controller wires for the motor and see if that gets you up and down by just using the switch. If that gets you going you could get the coach to a repair shop of your choice.

There was no remote on early 2008.

I have contacted Lippert and the tech thinks there is something wrong with the new harness so there will be an exchange.

At least in an emergency you can use a battery drill to get it on and off the truck. Also I'd try it with the drill just to make sure the gears are not jamed.

I think the electric drill is for the slide motor. The manual hand crank is used for the landing gears. Either way both are a very slow process. Jim
