Closet Door Snap

One of the closet door snaps/lock that secures the closet door broke in half. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement. Thanks .

We've had several that broke that we kept replacing. Finally just don't latch them closed. Before traveling, we just lay a dowel (cut to fit) in the track so the door can't move.

The standard white plastic ones are readily available at most RV part stores. I had to special order the black ones that came on my 2010 through Camping World.

The black ones are the new and right ones.

Our black ones broke in a very short time. Someone on this forum suggested we put a small rubber washer over the screw and behind the black clip when I reinstalled them. Since then we haven't had another one break and it's been several years.

When parked for any length of time we slide our doors in the opposite position that way they don't
automatically latch. We have broken several thru the years and they are available at most rv supply stores.
They are very sharp as my husband found out when trying to redo our closet bar so the hangers wouldn't
fall off (rear closet). The latch is higher than in our previous 5th with a front closet.

After you get your new latches go to the hardware store and get a 1\8 ID X 3\16 wall O ring to go between each latch and the door frame. Get one for each screw. When you install the latches screw them down lightly then you will be flexing the O ring instead of the latch. Problem solved ate latches will last forever.

It will also make the door easier to open and the wont come open while traveling.

If you can't find the OEM latch here is a fix that might be a good solution.

This device seems to be a good fix for this problem. I like them.
