Here is the website for the p-traps that you are talking about.

Thanks ranch 560. I will remove mine to clean and then re-install. After reading on the web site I will leave this on our unit.

I'll be replacing mine. I imagine we've damaged it trying to get the shower to drain.

Can this thing be removed and replaced with pipe? Besides odor what good is it? Just do like what I am reading with problems. Looks as if I could encounter a problem at the the most inconvenient time.

What do you think?
I wouldn’t remove it. They are easy to remove and clean.

I did not use any tools.

The collar at the bottom on the shower drain has a rubber washer in it for a gasket and the collar can be unscrewed by hand.

Then unscrew the same type of collar on the end of the “P” trap. Also easy to do by hand.

The last step is probably the hardest one. I used both hands on the unit and unscrewed it from the pipe that goes to the gray tank. You may want to be careful here and hold the pipe to the gray tank with one hand and turn the “P” trap with the other.

This is the second time I have had this unit out of the trailer. The first time when the bladder had become inverted and I damaged it because I mistook the end of the white bladder for a paper towel and used a pair if needle nose pliers to unstop the drain.

This is a lot easier than many other things you must do to these trailers to keep them in good working order.

Hi

They are so easy to get in and out I would take it out and see if it is damaged first.

I turned mine wrong side out while cleaning it and it wasn’t hard to push the rubber bladder back in place.

I already did the same thing you did earlier this year. Yanked on it with a pair of needle nose pliers so I'll look at it, but I expect a new one is in our future. Didn't know such a thing existed until Michelle warned be about it a day too late.

I had a 2010 3750FL which wouldn't drain the washer at all through the drain pipe. After many choice words trying to diagnose the problem and getting some water on the floor, we removed the trap door in the wall of the washer room, took the pipe apart, cut the baffle by one inch, extended the drain pipe by 1.5 inches so it was taller, and problem solved. It purred like a kitten and drained from that point on. We now have a 2013 3750FL and it has drained perfectly right from the start.

I had to take mine to Camping World of South Alabama to get the washing machine drain repaired

I admit I did not read all the posts! My washer drains "directly into drain pipe". Not in to gray tanks. So drain line has to be connected to sewer, and cap off, to drain, or pipe fills and drains up and out the roof vent! Sorry if I am repeating information!

The Hepvo company just released a 10 minute u-tube video of some great info on the drains everyone is dealing with. It even shows how not to clean your drains (I won't mention names).

Thanks for posting that video.

I have mine installed upside down. That probably explains why it collected the waste that I cleaned out of it.

I noted ours a few months ago but didn't really think about it, when I took a look in back of the wall in the cargo area.. After seeing the grief some of you have had and knowing I've never had a problem with a p trap that amounted to anything, I'm thinking one of those would be better overall. When there's water in a trap, you won't get any odor from the tank, and you will have standing water in the shower when the grey thank is over-full, rather than risk cracking it. Seems rather straight-forward to me, and eliminates another thing that could go wrong.

Go watch the video. It points out the problems with the “P” trap. It also shows how much room you can gain in the cabinets under the sink.

In this thread I see 3 people with problems. Mine was caused by keystone because they never hooked up the vent line.

KOLCB had a problem because Keystone installed it backwards.

DQDick doesn’t say what caused his to turn wrong side out.

I am planning on changing all of my “P” traps for this unit. Properly installed in a system that is properly assembled they seem to work great.

Mine collected a lot of stuff like hair and soap because I had it in upside down. I didn’t get any instructions from Keystone when they shipped it to me!

The video shows you how to replace your “P” trap with one and they make it look pretty easy.

My wife says she could sure use the extra 4 inches of vertical space under the kitchen sink.

Many thanks to Dick for the information regarding the other drain valve for the kitchen sink.
We got our 2010 Montana 3150RL last fall and am now using it for the first time in Orlando.
The kitchen sink backed up and couldn't figure out why pulling the one gray water valve didn't
empty it. The wall indicator showed tank 1 empty but tank 2 full, the specs says only
one gray tank exists. So, there had to be another drain valve somewhere and thanks to this
forum I found it. It's behind the rear wheel on the street side on the frame and not in
the convenience center. Learned something knew today.

We have had our Montana High Country 318RE since March, but only have had one camping trip so far. I couldn't figure out why grey water would rush out of the drain when I opened the cap, when both handles, black and grey, were pushed in and closed. Aha! I've found the third handle (it was left open at the dealership or factory) in front of the driver's side tires, hidden when the galley slide is closed. Nobody told us about that one, and it's not in any of the specs as the previous comment mentioned. I'm glad we have a galley grey water holding tank, but gee, dealers and Keystone--tell us about it! Thanks to MOC for the info!

OK, plumbing is my weakest skill. In this thread it was mentioned with the bladder you should never fill your grey water tank as that could rupture your tank. Isn't round stack on your roof to vent the tank? Looks like if tank filled it would run out sink or out the vent on roof. I know kitchen sink is vented under sink but I thought shower was vented out roof.
