John answered your earlier questions very well.

As to an inverter you do not need one unless you want to boondock and run AC equipment. The refrigerator, furnace and some of the lights will run off your 12 Volt system. If you want to run a 120 Volt Televison, DVD player, etc., I would look at the Wattage each needs and buy based on that info. A 400 Watt inverter may run your TV and DVD player depending on the wattage needed. Remember your battery bank is limited, so don't plan on doing this for hours on end. For larger loads or extended use, I would recommend a generator or stay somewhere that can provide shorepower.

I don't know the answers but am reading those supplied by others. But I wanted to note we most often use the 30-amp cord connected to a 30-amp source because our Montana has the 20/30 split so connecting to 50 amps does us little good.

We can run the washer, the dryer, the AC or furnace, the TV, two laptops, a numerous lights, fridge, and an electric heater on low on that 30-amp connection. To run the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot we have to shut down one of the high draw items, though. And we don't run the electric heater with AC on (that would not be real bright) but do run it with furnace running.
