Dexter/Alco

I have Alco axles and the brakes were replaced with Dexter could that be causing my tires [all four] to wear on the inside.

As long as the components that were replaced are ths same size and shape as the original, there should be no problem at all. The same mfgr. probably mahes the brake components for both companies.

On Edit - It would be worth checking into though.

We had the same problem on our 2004. Alko replaced the axle shafts and four tires. The axles had "lost their camber" (Alkos words). What is the last 6 numbers of your vin#? You could place a straight edge on your axles to see if they are arched up (good) or dropped down (bad). There is a two year warranty on the axles by Alko. You may want to call customer service to see if they may make you a deal on replacement. 574-294-6651 Chris or Pam.

I have a 06 3000RK and our rear axek went straight and the rear tires were shot at 4900 miles and i started to go to keystone jan 8 ,07 and after many calls to our orginal dealer and the dealer 250 miles closer to us now on 3-22-07 keystone finaly said they would pay the bill which was only 887.00 for 1 axel and 2 tires but in the mean time we found out the right side of the coach the axels were packed with so much grease they were 100% full and the left side had none so they also pd for new brakes all the way around and seals and bearings and we ran the smokies for 5 weeks but they never got hot so i kept going .. i worked with craig but i feal the axel was straight when we got it but they say i had it over loadedbut how can you , so we had it weighedwith half our stuff out and then had to empt it and it weighs 10660 empty and they claim they put in a 6000 lb axel ,, i think the old was a 5200 as most 05 had 5200 and lots of 06 have them ,, now they are going to 7000 lb axels why didn't they put in a 7000 , i don't know ,, we just got it out of storage again for a 4 week run so i will let you know in july how it goes

I crawled under the Monty...and I STILL have no idea what size axles I have...LOL But they do have a nice bend in the middle, which from what I gather on here...is a good thing.

You can call Keystone (866) 425-4369 (Toll Free) and they can tell you the axle size and any other information that is on the build sheet for your RV. The only thing you have to have is the serial number of your RV.
