Firestone Air Spring Model?
I have an F350 SRW and just received Firestone air springs from Etrailer. My pin weight is just under 3000 lbs but the rear axle weight with the trailer is about 6500. I bought the one for 5000 lbs. and wonder if I should exchange for the Extreme duty 7500 lb mode. Which model are others using?

Why did you buy those air springs? You truck is more than capable of handling that pin weight. And don't forget, you can add 10,000 pound air bags but it will not increase your truck's hauling capacity.

The rear of the truck squats a little too much, I want to level it out.

I am considering them for my one ton dually not to increase load capacity but to help reduce chucking. I have several comment air bags do help the loaded ride quality!

You are confusing RAWR with cargo carrying capacity. The air bags will hold up to 5000lbs of cargo and you are only carrying the 3000 lbs of yor pin weight. You are well within the limits of the bags.

My concern about the model is my axle weight as weighed, is 6500 lbs. including pin weight of 3000. I ordered 5000 lb air bags. Should I exchange for the 7500 lb model? Is anyone else using the 5000 lb air bags? Not trying to extend weight rating of the truck, trying to eliminate sag and smooth out the ride.

the air bags will hold an additional 5000 lbs of cargo in an empty bed. So for example if your rear axle weights 3000 lbs empty your total rear axle weight could be 8000 lbs loaded without overloading the bags. The 5000 lbs bags will support more weight than your truck is rated for. Remember you still can not exceed the RAWR listed on your door. You do not need the heavier bags.
I have 5000lb bags on my 3/4 ton truck and run right at my max RAWR. I run 40 to 60 lbs (after hooking up) in mine and am very happy with it.

You also want your 5th wheel to be level. In my case, I have my B&W hitch and pin box set to lower the nose of the trailer as much as possible (still have good bed rail clearance). The truck squats about 4" and the trailer is still slightly nose high. If I level the truck with the air bags, it just makes the nose high position worse. So, I don't try to level the truck, I just add about 30PSI to the bags which helps smoothing things out on the interstate. A 4" squat on these trucks is fine; still not hitting the helper leafs. I have not noticed people complaining about my lights.
