Kitchen flooring tear
I was kind of shocked yesterday. I was getting the 5er ready for the season when I went into the kitchen area and happened to look at the floor. In the corner was a big tear in the linolium. It must be from the winter cold or possibly expansion and contraction during the winter. The tear is about 1-1/2 foot long and is diagnal in the corner between the stove and the sink.
I guess what is suprising is that this happened now instead of the other 4 winters before.
The plan is to cut the old linolium out with a razor along the cabinets and carpet, and replace it with the square stick down linolium tiles.
Anyone ever have anything like this happen?
Do you see any issues with fixing it in this way?
Thanks
Merv
