Frustrated

After logging in, I wanted to share an interesting (at least to me) story about our travels covering the 48 contiguous states. I hit the post tab and instead of posting I was greeted with a message that I wasn't logged in. I logged back in, re-typed the story, hit post and was logged out again. I even rebooted the website and still no good. What the $%#@

Kinda makes me not want to post anymore.

Anybody else having this problem ?

Moderators, what's up ?

I have not experienced that here, but I have at a boating website that I frequent if I do not check the "remember me" box at login. I don't know if I checked that box here, but I must have as I don't need to log in here, I am logged in as soon as I open the site. It seems that the boating site takes it upon itself to log me out while I am posting long posts or adding photos. sounds similar to your issue maybe.

That is the kind of experience you will have if you have *NOT* checked the "Remember Me" box on the logon screen.

Checked the "remember me" box, now the story is posted under Member News.

The system recognized my login but didn't remember me. Guess I'm easy to forget. Oh well.

Your last two posts worked! Third time will be the charm!

Somewhere in my past something similar happened to me…write write write…proof read…ready to go…and somehow my composition was gone. I then wrote it again in MS Word and copied and pasted it into the email or thread or whatever it was. Now if it disappeared again I did not loose it for good.

I do what MikenDebbie does.
If it's long write it in another program, edit, spell check, copy and paste.

Can't be a software issue. Rule #1 - the chief is always right! Seriously though, thanks for the share. Looking forward to the day that we can follow in your footsteps - er.... tire tracks? Hope you folks continue on with your adventures.

That happens to me also on long posts. I got into the habit that after I finish typing the post I right click hi light and copy. Then I just paste after I log back in.

The "Remember Me" button is key to a smooth experience. Not checking it does cause the software to do unwanted actions at absolutely the worst time.

Same here. I always copy posts before submitting them. If I’ve been booted out while posting, I can simply log back in, paste and submit the post.
