225/75 15
Tired of the China bombs on my old 5er and horse trailer. Never had a blow out but I also keep a very close eye on them. Most all of you have or had a trailer that took 15” tires. What brand did you feel was best?
Never wear them out before the cords bust! Don’t want this to be anything but what brand you thought best!! Didn’t see sailuns in 15”

Brand options are something I just try to stay out of.
If you want stronger, more durable 15" tires, just research harder. There are at least 5 China brands now building steel cased ST225/75R15 tires with a LRF. At 95 PSI they provide about 3200# of load capacity.
Without mentioning a brand I will say there is a China tire builder opening a plant in NC in 2021 that builds a 15" steel cased trailer tire.

Confirm you have 15 inch wheels and tires - most Montanas have 16 inch.

^^^^Agree. On the specs I pull up the 3150rl shows 235/80R 16 LRG??

I don't believe the Transeagle tire is made by Goodyear. That should be Transamerica Tire Co. Ltd. Says they are made in Asia or South America.
I've had good luck with Carlisle Radial HD tires in that size but they were not all steel. I think Carlisle makes an all steel, CSL 16?? or something like that but get a little spendy (as do all of the all steel trailer tires) compared to the HD.

Thx. Sourdough, your right not Goodyear. I have the CSL 16 on our Montana and only have about 5K on them, they show very little wear. They do have a Carlisle trailer HD ST 225 75 15 will probably go that route. Most reviews were good.

You might look and see what load range you need on those trailers. If I recall the Carlisle HD in 225/75R 15 ends at LRE (non all steel).

Carlisle has added a 15" all steel to their CSL line-up. I'm surprised Sailun has yet to do it.

Horse trailer is TT and GVWR is 7K tandem. Salem 5er is 10K tandem. Run load range E on both. So far on my Montana, I'm very pleased with the Carlisle CSL in the 235 85/16G

Thanx for all the input. Just ordered 5 Carlisle radial trail HD ST225/75R15 E 10 ply.. seems to be a happy medium (quality/price) between the nonsteel belted and their CSL16. I’ll update after I get them

I bet they work for you. I ran the Carlisle Radial HD on my bumper pull at 10k gvw (usually around 92-9300 scaled) and had no problems.

I used Carlisle tires on my wheelbarrow and never had a blowout. Moved a lot of concrete on them. Ha.

I have used carlile brand on my laredo for years. Last set I bought was in 13 and still on it after trips from south tx- northern Idaho, back , trip to Phoenix back, 2 trips to Colorado springs back, and three trips to mn and back.
They still have about 50% tread and don't show uneven wear. Next month will be the tell tale. Hauling my 14 310 RES home from mn. Just put Salians on it for its maiden voyage.

I’ve actually worn out a set of no flat on my wheelbarrow 
Wish they made them for trailers!
