Shilo1977, you might want to look a little deeper into your SD decision when the time comes. There is a political move to deny voting rights to those who don't own or rent a stick and brick in the state. They just tabled one bill because of language, but the committee chair vowed to bring it back with more acceptable language.

Sorry to hear about the cost of your tags. I live in Montana. My cost on the 2000 3280 was $99 and never have to pay again as in Montana all trailers (including 5th wheels) is pay one year and tags are permanent.

While we are still researching this, it looks like Arkansas may still have the edge for us. I've confirmed I can still be a resident of Arkansas even without a physical address, according to my county, and I will pay annual vehicle registration of less than $35, no trailer registration (it's permanent), personal property taxes of about $200 per year, no real property tax without a house, and state income tax on the meager income we will have as full-timers. To begin with we will purchase COBRA and then transition to an Obama plan next year. I looked very seriously into the South Dakota option so am appreciative of this information.

or Washington State my tabs for my truck are 80 bucks a year and the Monty I think is 100 bucks and Also they do not tax Social security or Pensions and we have Medicare Advantage PPO and we can go to any doctor around the Country that takes it and %99.99 of the Docs we been to on our travels accept it and it is thru Humana Health care and it costs 400 dollars a month for me and my Wife and WITH great drug CoverageJust do not buy a house anywhere near Seattle you will have to win the lottery to buy one and the sales tax is high if you want to buy a vehicle or anything else
