Full Timing 4 Years today!
October 1st is our anniversary for the start of our full timing lifestyle.
Today, we have been on the road for 4 years.
Some interesting statistics include:
We've towed 37,258 miles.
We've setup the rig 221 times.
We're on our third set of tires for the trailer.
We're on the second set of tires for the truck.
We've boondocked 62 times for 316 days/nights.
We've stayed in RV Parks 89 times, or 546 Days. ($3920) or $7.18/day.
We hope our next 4 years will be as enjoyable as the last 4.

Our 4th wil be July 1st, 2011 and we are still loving the life. Can't even come close with miles, tires and boondock days . We prefer comforts.....pool etc. If people ask if we do it again we say YES...Dave and Teresa

Congratulations on four years of fulltiming!! And in less than two more years there will be another significant milestone!!
But I do have to ask one question. In four years, there were 1,461 days/nights (3 x 365 + 366 (Leap Year)). You accounted for 862 days/nights (316 + 546).
What happened on the other 599 days/nights?

I was doing the calculations as well. It looks like there are 70 times of set-ups unaccounted for. Can't wait to hear about the "twilight zone experience", LOL!!! Congratulations on the 4 years full-timing. You have shown that it can be very affordable as well as enjoyable!

Our calculations aren't YET an exact science, but the discrepancy in the number of days are because when we stayed with friends, family, work camping, ....and state and federal parks where there were hookups (like Winchester Bay) those days were not calculated.

Congratulations! You and Alice are such happy campers that we know you've enjoyed every moment of your life on the road. You know the rest of my drill: One day, if and when . . .

Congradulations Robbie & Alice!
"We hope our next 4 years will be as enjoyable as the last 4."
May you next 20 years be as enjoyable as the last 4.
"We've towed 37,258 miles.
We're on our third set of tires for the trailer."
That's not very many miles per set of tires.

Well Carl I can account for 400 of the days, Robbie spent them picking on me about driving a Ford, but now I have a Dodge so he chilled out some. But now he has had all summer to work on something else to get my goat so will see when we all get together this winter in Q. Oh BTW, Robbie I passed 5 years fulltiming in July.
Take care missed You both this summer, well at least Alice.

Just getting around to this thread. Congrats to the both of you! Time really flies doesn't it???
I didn't realize until you started this thread that I've been fulltiming for 4 1/2 years myself. And other than my Apollo 1/2 Time Oven needing replaced the first year, I have never been back to any dealer or had any repair work done (knock on wood), and hope it stays like that.

Seven and a half years for us and I know there are several members here with way more years than us. It might be interesting to do a poll to see who has been fulltiming the longest. I know there are some out there with at least 16 years, if I recall.

You have been nominated! That would be pretty interesting to see the results.
