So you think they weigh each one before placing that sticker on them? Just curious what you mean. I really have had my doubts they weighed each individual vehicle.
I don't know how they do it...but during my research I found very few with the exact same cargo capacity...which is listed to the nearest one pound. It will change with models, CC vs stand cab, LB vs SB, 4wd vs 2wd, trim levels, etc.

"My guess is that the stickers are computer generated based on the computer build data for that particular truck.'... This topic is giving me a headache My door sticker says this particular truck has a CC of 4268 Lbs.. However the truck ready for towing the 3400. full fuel, self and spouse, bird, cage, hitch, generator and assorted camping stuff weighs 9314 lbs. The GVWR is stated as 13K. That means that the truck in the dealers lot weighed 8732 lbs??? We have a weight receipt from the local landscaping company, right off the dealers lot, still stapled to the window sticker that says 8725 lbs, just the truck.....Humm 7 lbs difference. I did not notice that till right now when I looked up the window sticker and weight slip.Any how since the truck really weighs 9314 then my real CC is 13K-9314= 3686 lbs. Ifff the pin weight of the 3400 is 20% on the GVWR of the campers 13,975lbs...the pin weight is around 2795lbs. I am sure he 3400 is not at max GVWR. I ran the entire thing on the Flyng J scales on the way back from FLA. I can't find the weight slip in the rubble but I remember it to be 22,105lbs which means the camper was 22105-9314= 12791 so the pin weight is about 2558 lbs... Any how we are happy with the numbers.... Now I have a worse headache....

As promised and a bit late here but here goes:
For a 2009 F350 SD Dually CC Long Box 4X4
---GVWR 13,000 lbs / 5,897 kgs
---Front 2,722 kgs / 6,000 lbs
---Rear 4,082 kgs / 9,000 lbs
You Will Note: when adding the front and rear axles we get 6,804 kgs and 15,000 lbs.
That is with LT 245/75R 17E Tires and 17 X 6.5J Rims
Fronts at 75 psi and Rears at 60 psi.

If I remember right the truck with full tanks 2 occupants weighed in at 8,900 lbs. When we got the new Monty 3400RL it was dry, truck full of fuel and 2 occupants weighed in at 21,700 lbs. Didn't have time to do the unhitching and seperate weight test. Once we get organized and ready for the winter I suspect we will be in that 23,000 lbs area. I am confident we will have enough capacity on the truck and enough rubber on the road. Ellis

8e3kd.. We have the same truck 08/09 and pull the same camper 06/09/ The weight on your truck may be a bit light (see above post) Our truck was 8725. Did have nearly a full tank of fuel, no occupants, no hitch, no camping stuff.

Yes, Rich you are right and what is happening here is both my Son and I brought in two 09 F350s; his was a Single wheel and mine the dually. I may be using his weights. If I get a chance this weekend I'll run just the truck over the scales as it now has the box cover, front and rear flaps, Husky liners inside front and back, Camper tie down arms from the frame, a heavy sprayed in Box liner, the B & W goose/5th wheel hitch; also did the 3M protector on the hood fender fronts, bumper and mirror fronts (won't be noticable for weight).
What month was yours built? Ours was built early Nov. 2008; and was a special order from the factory. Ellis

Ours is a early build Job 1 08 built in Feb of 07 . Also have the spray in bedliner that was not on when we weighed it early on as well as front and rear flaps. It was also a special factory order. Mine might be a few lbs heavier now . I should run it down the road and weigh it again. If your weight were dually weights we would be close. This is a great truck, Runs strong. The 3400 is no challenge at all and there are
plenty of lbs safety margin.

The Dexter 7000lb (American)axle has a 12x2 brake. The CSA requires it to have a 12x2.25 to be rated at 7000lb in Canada. It is the same axle just rated lower in Canada. Dexter told me that the 7000lb has more agressive brake linings.

Rating for TV's should be near identical. Canada and the U.S. agreed many years ago (Auto Pact)to keep uniform standards as near as possible.

All the door stickers are in both lbs and kg so it appears it is the same sticker Canada/USA. Our real weight was only 7 lbs off the sticker weight. I might have had my School bus stuff in the truck.

Thanks to all for replying to the thread. I conclude that the TV's are stickered the same in Canada and the USA, but that the components of the trailer vary.
