3400RL model questions

On the new 3400RL model , where is the water pump?

Also, does anyone that previously had an older model with the
sliding door by the bed, do you miss it? I am so excited about
the floor plan on the 3400RL, but I'm nervous I'll miss the extra
door, for muffling sounds and/or privacy when I want to sleep, and the DH wants to be up, and utilze the bathroom facilities.

Water pump is located on driver side in basement behind panel on right. I had to remove panel about 6 screws.

Hi Bonnie, I really dont have anything good to add here since I am a newbie. But, I know what you mean about the shower and vanity location. When I get up @ 5:00 A.M. and jump in the shower the lights are shining in my brides face while she lays in bed. But since she is the best ever, she doesnt lay there long and gets up with me. I'm pretty sure this post was no help to you at all but,

I think it all depends on your life style and how easy you go back to sleep if awaken. We have no problems at all with the 3400 layout. We have the foldout curtain and have never used it. We usually get up about the same time but if one wants to sleep they do. Never of us shower when we first get up so it is not a problem. Ed showers at night, me either at night or after a couple of cups of coffee. So as I said, it depends on your lifestyle.

Humm ..The light issue has not been a problem for us thus far..maybe that is because we do not get up in the Morning when it is still dark..We do turn the light in the potty room off as that can be blinding if you use the room in the middle of the night.Installed a simple 12V stand alone low bright light in there. shower privacy has not been a problem as we shower at different times..anyhow Helen and I have been married for about 100 years and she has seen me devoid of clothing (a truly revolting sight) She on the other hand.....not bad..not bad at all...

Bonnie and Scott,

That was one of the few things we were dissapointed about in the new 3400RL. Our 2955RL has the sliding doors on both sides of the bathroom so either we or the kids can use it without disturbing the other.

The 3475RL, which has the identical bathroom, does have a sliding curtain, but doesn't isolate the vanity. It has just a few extra inches between the wardrobe and shower that allows for the curtain storage. The 3400RL does not have those extra inches, therefore there is no easy way to install the curtain (unless you order the shower versus tub option).

I guess there is no perfect floor plan. Was it a sale breaker - NOT!

Thanks to all for the info. and opinions. I am sure I will adjust to not having the extra doors by the bed. I'll just have to crank my portable fan onto high, to drown out any morning noise. My fan is a great white noise saviour.

I am a light sleeper so I use the fan and have ear plugs. I like to sleep in a dark bedroom so I have covered the bedroom window over the vanity and the skyligt with removable solar panels. These help with the lights in the campgrounds and the early morning sun. I use ear soft ear plugs that help when hubby is staying up later than I am. You might want to try the mask things that you can wear over your eyes if the bathroom light is waking you up. The bedspread works pretty good too.
