A/C filter material

My 2014 3402RL has the ducted A/C and the only part visible in the living room are the 2 return air vents (metal 13.5" x 7.5") that screw into the ceiling and have a white polyester filter cloth stapled to a cardboard frame. Up to this point I've removed the staples, washed the cloth and re-stapled it.

I now need to replace the cloth. Has anyone found the correct material on a roll so I can cut to fit? I'm concerned that using the wrong stuff will unduly restrict air flow.

Take a piece to a heating and air contractor and you should be able to buy a bunch of it. They might even have some material to make a better frame.

I found it at Home Depot. You get a large piece and cut to fit. Works great. While you have the vents off check to see if there is any sawdust. Also stick your camera up in the vent and take a picture, see if your insulation is dropping down and blocking air. Mine was blocked and I found some large 2 inch tubes and put them down there and opened up so air would pass. Really improved the air flow.

Is it possible for you to point me to that product on Menards' website? There are not any Menards around here.

I glued pices of 2"X 1" wood to where the screws go in to hold the metal great, as the only thing that holds them up is the thin ceiling material. The screw holes hollow out fairly soon if one cleans the filter regularly.

I found replacement A/C filter material at Wally World. I bought extra as I knew I'd need it in the future.
