3402RL one of the top full time rigs

Did anyone else catch the article in the newest Trailer Life magazine? While not numericaly rated the 3402RL is one of the featured full time rigs. What I found interesting was the price point-it being a mid-range priced rig that stacked up well against the high rent rigs.

Noticed that, too. Found it interesting and inspiring. Especially since Cedar Creek wasn't in there on the list! Not trying to bash any brands but, couldn't help wandering for a moment how the list was selected.

I noticed the lack of Cedar Creek representation also. I was waiting for someone else to point that out though. My brother is a snow bird in a Cedar Creek and the friendly comparisons abound when we camp together. His had a rocky start, though Forest River did correct his issues.

Not our model, but We're convinced that the Monty's are the best for the money as full time rigs.

Nice to see our rig featured in the mag, we can confirm it is a all season 5th after going through a nasty winter last year in the NW with no problems and it is hard to beat for the price!

It was mentioned at the fall rally that Montnana was going to some full time rigs.Would like to see what they do to meet that strandard.

i noticed it to in the magazine and it looks great to full time in, not there yet but hopefully that model or similar will still be there in a few years to choose from.

Rich, I too am interested to see what Montana will be doing to get into that full timer market. Many of the features and structural options were not available when I traded in my 3400RL. I was looking last night and noticed that a couple of those features are now being integrated into the 2013 Montana & Big Sky. It will be interesting to see where Keystone takes it from here.

Now we are NOT full timers but we spend many months of the year living in the Montana.They hold up well in terms of livability.IMO if you stay in moderate climates you will do well.None of these things IMO are built to withstand very cold or very hot weather,Again..IMO then problem with full time Rv'ing is the miles you put on the RV.The more you drive these guys the bigger beating it takes structurally and there IMO is the greatest problem.
They need to improve the structure, suspension, frame for the full time travellers.

Perhaps a breakout from full timers to full time travellers. One can be a full timer and travel from MI or MN (6 months) to RGV (6 months) and back period. While other full timers may put 10-12k per year on their units. Which one gets worked harder?

Yea, there is a difference in the definition of "fulltimers" We live fulltime in our rig but have a "home base" RV Resort and travel around about 1200 miles a year we are not fulltime travelers so our rig does not see alot of road time every year so wear and tear on ours is minimal

Right ..we are not fulltimers but put a lot of miles of our Montana.Our 06 did over 60K miles in 6K years. we have had this 2013 3402 since late may of 2012 and have done about 4K miles already. We did the rally in PA then the rally in S.C then the Fall rally also did a FCRV rally and several local campouts and now in Florida.
Our campers get a work out on our fine highway system and they take a toll.

after all the bugs were worked out our 3150 was a great fulltime rig. we put lots of miles on it and it still looks great. but of course we have traded it in for a 3400....hope this one works well too.
