Go to Splendide's website and print out the winterizing procedure which is found in the owner's manual for your specific model. Website is Splendide.com. You do not winterize by running a full cycle, rather you start a cold water cycle, then stop it when the pink stuff appears in the drum, then spin dry it out. This procedure is repeated for the hot water cycle. We have used their procedure for years and it takes a little less than a gallon to winterize the washer. Be sure the hot water heater bypass is turned off before starting. We also do all the line winterizing first and the washer last. Total pink stuff needed for the 3750 including the washer is less than four gallons. Hope this helps.

We started out with the combo, as that is all we had room for in our rig. For three and a half years we used maybe two loads, total. On our big western summer tour this year we used it many, many times, and all misgivings we ever had about buying it in the first place went away! Yes, if we had space for stackables they would be much better, but not having to do the laundramat thing is priceless. We learned how to sort for small loads and adjust for drying times to minimize wrinkles, plus we got a 3 arm folding clothes rack from CW to finish drying shirts on hangers. What a wonderful summer of laundry we had!
