Back flush of Black Water Tank

Hi,

We are on the road and my back flush in the black water tank will not let water go into the tank.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Many have reported the check valve goes bad. In my unit it is under the lav. sink. In other units it is in the wall behind the shower faucet. If you can find yours just bypass it to see if that is the issue. Jim

Festus, tell us which year and model you have and one of us can probably tell you where to find that check valve.

Had same problem....reroute it from under the kitchen sink ti behind the basement wall...added a cut off valve on the outside in the command center...works just fine....hook up the hose...turn on the water ...open the valve and flush away...cut off valve before turning off water...no problem...the check valve is hard to get to and not easily taken apart....we just cut it all out and rerouted it...

We are having the same problem with our back flush in the black water tank. Would anyone know where the check valve is on a 2007 3585SA? And would that valve have anything to do with our not being able to disconnect the fresh water hose from either the outside faucet or the convenience center unless we open a faucet in the rig first (which apparently bleeds off the pressure, allowing us to finally disconnect the hose)?

Does anyone know where the valve is located on a 3455SA? I would like to replace it with one of the brass valves before it fails. Thanks in advance.

I have had that problem with mine off and on. if I am somewhere with alot of water press it will start working again and keep on unless I don't use it for awhile. and when its running I can hear it behind the shower so atleast I know where mine is I just don't want to go in there to fix it.

Mine was bad from the factory (Feb 2011). The dealer replaced the inexpensive plastic one with a brass unit (I happily paid the $27 for the upgraded part). The valve was behind the shower. The tech took off the shower bottom faucet panel and reached up to get to the valve. Works great now. Apparently, this is a very common problem.

Haven't seen any replies to where it's located so will mention the two I know.

On our 2003 3295RK it was under the bathroom sink.

In our 2007 3400RL it's behind the pantry wall, between pantry and shower. In the pantry is an access panel stuck on with two-sided tape. However, the hole and panel are in the wrong place. I could see the valve through that hole but had to enlarge the hole to get to the valve.
