Decals...where are they?
I know this topic has been discussed many, many, times....yet there is still the same problem...Peeling decals.
I just wanted to share that this is not just a "Montana" problem.
This weekend while out traveling through the Sacramento, CA. area.
I noticed all 5th wheels and travel trailers on the road....and there was many.
Today I seen 3, three!, trailers (5th & TT) that were naked. All three had removed their decals. All three trailers looked to be not more then six years old.
Is this a sign of the future look for our RV trailers? Is everybody getting sick and tired of dealing with fading or peeling decals?
You got to admit, seeing three in one day is a lot!
I said before and I will keep these thoughts, but when it comes time to upgrade our present RV...this is one thing I will be looking at...the decals. I would like to purchase an RV that paints on their graffics. Or order a naked RV and have my own graffics painted on.
Just a thought....

Here's a different thought to the missing decals. We have seen a few 5ers and tt's that were being used for show purposes for things like hitches, suspensions and as moving offices. Some of these people will not support any certain manufacturer and show this by stripping off the decals.
Then there are dissatisfied customers that will not publicize the brand they have had problems with.
And then, some models were made for FEMA and were not allowed to put the decals on any of the units sold to them. There are thousands of these units sitting in areas to be shipped out to needy families. And some of these units do have decals, can't explain why some do and some don't!

I'm thinking, when mine go for good I will hire a local gang and have them do some nice graffitti on the sides, front and back, then have it all clearcoated by a paint shop. I could probably get the graffitti done for a couple cases of beer and maybe a case of Mogan David. What do you think Steve????

Save your beer and wine Phil, I know of a few places you can get it done for free just by parking it there overnight!

Phil,
You really should consider adopting more of your signature line into your paint scheme plans. You could have your rig painted like the Partridge family bus and change your signature to ......a partridge in a partridge family rig. Whatja think about that?????

Brad, just not sure what it would look like if I did that!!!!! Bingo, a Partridge is not bad, I could get Tom41 to carve me a partridge and put it on the hood of my truck, Yeah that's it!!!!

Phil, the big problem with your theory is that you would have to leave the truck so it would match! Don't even like that idea at all!!!!!!!

Some of those young artists have real talent - give then a general idea and an hour or two and your whole rig (truck included) will be done. Then just have to get it in for clearcoat before anything else is added.

Pretty much the first thing we did when we got our 3650RK home was to remove all the Montana decals because we didn't like them. We drove it around naked for a bit while we were designing custom graphics and got quite a few comments about the lack of brand identification.
I've noticed quite a few 5th wheels (15-20) in the last four or five months without decals or without nose decals. The only thing we left on ours is the small oval decal by the door that says Montana 3650RK and for the time being we've decided to leave the nose bare.

Mine is almost four years old and the decals are starting to peel. Running around naked sounds exciting to me.

Tincup703,
My 08 is going in for the third time for decals on the cap. You may have the next solution for me. Are your sides painted or are they decals.

Phil, did you have the decal on your truck painted on, or is it a decal?
