On to the Next Problem

Well, now that I got my arms built up from cranking the landing gear and got that one fixed, my fantastic vent has been scraping. The X-bracket that holds the motor is broken. Took a wood dowel and tie wrapped it across and wedge one across. Temp fix until Fastastic Vent sends me a new piece. Anyone else had a lot of Fantastic Vent issues? Great product but between broken cover, sticking cover and now this, I haven't gotten a full season of operation without issues.

We've got three Fantastic Fans plus a portable 12-volt endless breeze fan by Fantastic. We've never had any problems with any of them. But I do know this, the company stands behind the product so I wouldn't get too worried about it. Just know that whatever happens to any of their products, they fix them.

Geesh Ron,

We had FV on prior unit, really no trouble.

One on Tana, really no trouble, although if Tana sits too long between uses, or it is really hot, we might have a tad sticking when trying to raise the cover. This is an add on unit, and we just got the basic one, not all that fancy stuff.

But, like Ols1932 says, the company is great!

Ron, get their number and call them. I am betting you will have a smile on your face when you get off the phone...

Every time I've had a problem, they've fixed it. As soon as I found it I came in and sent them and email. I'll probably have a new one by the weekend. The problem is that I've never gone a full season without a catastrophic problem. Went through a whole season where it would stick - they sent new seal, etc. Had the inside crank bracket break. Had the cover break. Now, starting this season the big bracket. I agree its a great product. Just wish it were more robust.
