Tire Valve Stems

What kind of metal valve stems do you all recommend and where do you buy them?

I would go to a tire dealer that handles 18 wheelers and large work trucks.

Joe and Doe, I just had teel valve stems installed yesterday on my Truck. The short one's that I had before wouldn't fit these high dollar plastic wheel covers that GM has on the 08's. Had to go with a little longer one's. I live in a small place and the guy ordered mine from a place called Weirs tire equipment, not sure about the name. Most any tire shop can get them if they don't stock them. If your running a Pressure Pro System, I highly recomend the metal valve stems. My new 5er came with metal stems, all I had to do was air up the G614 to 110 and put the sensors on. I was running the PPS system on the 07 Chevy DRW while waiting for the metal stems to come in and I did have the rubber stem leak air. China made I guess? GBY....

When I had my G614's mounted, the tire man put on steel stems. Since he is a personal friend and very conscientious, I feel confident they were proper, but I don't know the brand. I, too, use the PressurePro System.
