Getting ready for winter
Purchased a 329RLT this spring. Has been in an out of service several times, but hope all is well tommorrow when I pick it up. Anyway, have had three previous TT and always winterized them myself. As I was looking over this 5th wheel, I noticed the water heater bypass has only one valve. Every other unit I've owned had three. Intake, out, and bypass. Dealer confirmed over the phone that it is only one valve. Is this something new in the last several years? Also, the owners manual says to dump the antifreeze in the fresh water tank and pump it through the system. Dealer said to disconect the intake hose to the pump. Every other unit I've owned had a bypass valve on the pump. This one does not. I know there is a kit you can buy. Anybody with this unit who could offer some help? Thanks. Tom

Hi TLG, Welcome...water heater has a check valve on the Hot outlet so turning the bottom 3 way valve to bypass does not backflow into the top of the tank
Can't answer your second issue regarding bottle suction line to use for running pink stuff into the unit as mine has this feature..older unit than yours.
Good luck

TLG, There is a kit that might help. Not sure who posted it or I'd give them credit.
There is a picture and it says "The no-fuss Freezegaurd tm kitmakes winterizing an easy, clean process".
The picture looks like there is a "T" fitting with valve. Off the T is a hose that goes to a gallon of anti-freeze. The hand is in the way, but it looks like the pump is behind the hand and the T connects between the water tank and the Pump inlet. So the valve either lets in water from the tank or from the other fitting which here is in the anti-freeze bottle.
Hope this helps, which I could post the picture for you.

TLG, here is the thread about the "No-fuss Freezeguard" that Roque was referring to: http://tinyurl.com/3dfd8l
Here is a Winterizing Kit from CW - It doesn't say Freeze Guard, but it looks similar: http://tinyurl.com/354v5p
Hope this helps.
