AC filters

We own model 3582rl fifth wheel 2014. We just purchsed from orig owner. Does the roof mount AC or furnace units have filters that need to be maintained? Any insight appreciated.

You don't say what year rig or what type of AC unit you have. All the AC units have filters the furnace usually doesn't. AC's that have a dump in the room have a filter built in where the return air is. AC's that are fully ducted have air intakes, usually behind grills on both sides of the room even with the AC unit. In either case you need to remove the grill and clean the filter regularly. In our case we clean them every other week.

With a 2014, you probably have the old style ceiling unit that has the dump side with the filter on the return side. The foam filter is on top of the return side grill.
