Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Author unknown...

May this help you find peace. So sorry to hear about your Maggie.

Terry and Jack,
Mary Kay and I are saddened to learn that you had to put Maggie down. I know how hard that was for you. She now is at peace and playing with her sister. She could not have had better masters than the two of you. Dennis and Mary Kay

Jack & Terry,

We're so sorry to hear about Maggie. I'm sure her sister Rosie and our Doc were there to welcome her home.

Terry and Jack we are so sorry to hear about Maggie. I know how you must be feeling, since our loss of Roxie has been hard and we still cry. Just remember she is not in any pain and is with Rosie in doggy heaven.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It was one of my worse memories the day I lost my Penny. My heart goes out to you.

Terrie and Jack, thank you for sharing Maggie with us--not just her death but her life.

We have Daisy who showed up at our back door about six years ago as a big puppy. We know nothing more about her life before that day. She was in good health and seemed not to be too hungry, but she had no identification and inquiries turned up nothing. I said she seem not to be hungry. In fact, she was hungry for affection. That still seems to be more important to her than food. I've just been out with her on this crisp, cold morning. Nothing seems to make her happier than for me to go out with her. Fortunately she is in excellent health and we hope to have good years ahead with her. (She is a very dark chocolate Lab mix.)

Funny thing is we used to think friends who traveled in their RVs with dogs . . . Well, let's just say we never thought we'd do such a thing. Now Daisy is very much a part of our RV experience.

We think of you and the loss of your companion because Daisy means so much to us.

Jack, we're sorry to hear about Maggie. Don't wait too long to share your love with another friend, though; it can be a heavy burden.

Jack,

Sorry to hear about Maggie.

It has been over a year and we still haven't recovered from our loss of Raider. Although we haven't been able to follow their advise; I think Bob and Sharon are probably right. "Don't wait too long to share your love with another friend, though; it can be a heavy burden."

So sorry to hear this. Our pets are our kids!

You, Maggie and Rosie are in our prayers and hearts!

We have been there also when we lost our Yellow Lab Cheyenne 2 years ago. She was 15 years old and a sweet little lady. We are now lucky enough to have Tanner, our Chocolate Lab and a true Bouncing 2 year old Boy.
