Saying goodbuy to a buddy

We had to say goodbye to our pet and man’s best friend Smokey, for 15 years he has been with us and never did anything wrong, he could be alone in our Monty and let us go gallivanting for long periods of time and no accidents or destruction to property.
We will miss him very much.

Smokey will see all his buddies in doggie heaven, Bonnie the Boston terrior, Rico the Syamese, Dusty the head OF THE HOUSE CAT.

You will be missed. love ya buddy.

Losing one of the "fur kids" is very tough. Hang in there, we're thinking of you.

So sorry. It's always tough losing our pets. We are as close to them as our children.

We call them "children with fur". Unconditional love is their calling card. I've often thought that it's such a shame that they don't live as long as we do.
Sorry for your loss. We share your pain... we've been there many times and the last is as hard as the 1st.

So sorry to hear this, something I have shared with others as we say a temporary good bye to our best buddies:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

My wife keeps telling me that I will be a basket case when either of our best friends pass away. She is usually correct. Sorry for your loss, and I do believe that there is a pet heaven.

Sorry you lost your friend. Dogs are called "man's best friend" for a reason. They truly do have unconditional love for their masters, even when mistreated. Studies have shown that loosing a pet causes a level of grief similar to loosing a family member for many people. I can attest to that.

Our sentiments, Trailer Trash 2. It's obvious you, like many others, have great memories of your pets. That is a funny picture and balloon commentary. And just think of all those squirrels Smokey will meet (and hunt) once again.

I'm very sorry about Smokey, Don and Georgia. We just lost our Sophie in July who was with us for 13 wonderful years. Know a bit of what you're going through right now. Prayers to you both, and Smokey. Remember all the good times.
