A good tool to use.....

http://www.supercook.com/

This is good for starting cooks, or experienced, just plug in what you have in the reefer, it will spit out a recipe.
We cook what we like, so enter the foods, textures and flavors you enjoy, and you can choose a recipe. Sometimes hundreds to choose from.

Thanks Ozz Looks like a great site, too bad they don't have an app. I'm really looking forward to cooking more when we full time and this looks like an interesting site to use. If your like me and need to watch what you take in or need to force yourself to exercise more here's a site that I use: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/. It combines calorie count and exercise to give you a pretty good estimate of whether your doing ok or if you need to add another leaf to the springs soon.

I know, but at 260# myself anyone who saw me at the rally might also take a shot and they'd be right. That's how I found the site.

Excellent point! We're looking forward to meeting you and your lovely spouse in person someday soon. We're going to be in Congress, AZ the first of February for the Escapee's bootcamp. We signed up for that last summer before we discovered the wealth of knowledge available on this forum, but we still figure we'll learn something and it's a great chance to get out of here while the winter is still in full swing. If you're still in AZ then, maybe our paths will cross. If not, when you have to go back and earn some more $ we won't be far apart.

Sounds like a plan, Stan We should be over in Palm Springs then, but you never know about us.
Hey have you tried Swai fish? They are white fish from Viet-Nam, like catfish. We are having them for dinner..eating them not sharing dinner with them...

Did anybody notice when you open the link the American flag is backwards? The stars are in the wrong corner...they should be in the viewer's the upper left corner.

I sent them an email and told them I'd consider placing an order when they fixed the flag.

No, that's a new one on me, but I love catfish in all it's forms. Where did you get it. Do groceries out there have it or did you go to an oriental grocery?

I'll have to look next time we're there. This is the only time of year we buy refrigerated or frozen at Walley World. The nearest one is 40 miles away and when the temp is 113 stuff doesn't get home well. Part of the fun of living in the boonies.

Dick, do you have a good refrigeration guy? I had many commercial refrigeration customers in K.C., Sue and I had the Brinker account for the greater K.C. area, all the Chili's, On The Borders, Mac Grill. I did all the HVAC Electrical and refrigeration, also cooking equipment for them for about 8 years. What is the service call rate there in your town?
We were charging $100 for a service call, then $75.00 an hr. last year.

Actually I'm currently paying $70 per call 24/7 and getting good techs. In that we are lucky because we're 2.5 hours from KC and 1.5 hours from Topeka so I would have to pay thru the nose in driving time alone. Once in a while we have warranty work that has to be handled that way and then it's they drive down, it's not what they thought, they drive back and order other parts, several days later they drive back and fix it. Can't imagine what that costs the company involved. The cheap rate really has to do with two things. Small town and I always pay fast. I guess there are really three things, the third is that since we are a food store and an Orange Julius location as well as being a DQ we have 22 refrigeration compressors in the building and they also do repair work on my cooking equipment. As a result, even with the low rate I can claim them as dependents on my taxes
