Personal Travel Web sites

I want to set up a web-site to record our travel experiences (with photos) and to communicate with family and friends while we are on the road.

I'd like to get suggesions on how to go about this from those of you who have done it.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Bill and Helen (Adelmoll) have a fantastic web-site. They did it somehow through Good Sam's Club. Send them a private message or e-mail and I'm sure Helen will be glad to steer you in the right direction. If you click on to one of their posts, you will see they have a link to their web-site.

Well, a good site for the computer challenged folks like me is the MSN spaces. It works so easily and is free. I think if you click on the link in my signature you can find a link to start your own page. If you double click the pictures on the page they are enlarged in a new window. It's worked very well for us and makes me look like I know what I'm doing.

You will find a link to our journey in our signature. We do pay for it but it is so easy to use and has unlimited space with both pictures and videos. It is well worth it for us. Some free web sites are limited and this week we will have our 40,000 hit since we put a row counter on it less than one year ago. To check it out just click and you will find the most exciting days we have spent on the road these last couple of days. I also posted a video from our Kodak camera that Ozz started on another thread. I am so happy we can share this with our family and friends.

We have been looking for awhile. There are many out there..Google blogger, Windows live spaces, Woodall's, MSN, Geocities. The free ones are ok but are limited in band width and there is a lot of ads and pop ads on many of them(that's why they are free)we are going to go with The Good Sam Premium travel website.. it is 89.00 per year, first months free and a 15% discount for Good Sam Members..That's about 76.00 per year but it is umlimited everything (you may have noted that I am verbose) and it is very easy to use..should be up in a week or two..
